What?!

Once again, time flying by so quickly. There are only 2 more weeks/clinicals in maternity!! Tomorrow is my second to last one and its in the newborn nursery, so excited. SO that means only 2 more weeks and then it is spring break?! AHH. Crazy. Then we switch to pediatrics after spring break. Definitely interested in how that is going to go...

So about this concept of time flying by - in 2.5 months it will already be a year since I graduated. Ok that is really weird. In May, it will have been 2 years since I studied abroad. CRAZY. As of now, I only have 6 months until I get my RN license. Another weird thing. Every time I look up, something else is coming so quickly or things have happened so long ago. I'm just getting old I guess!!

Well, coming up before spring break: I have a huge Case Study due on Thursday, a genetics family pedigree due in a week or so, one last maternity test....hmmm I think that is all as grades are concerned.

Well until next time...try to make someone's day special!! :)

So far...

This semester so far has been relatively "easy" compared to last semester. I'm not sure why - I guess because last semester I had patho and that took a lot of studying. I also like/know more things about women's health so I don't have to study as hard. What have I been using my extra time for....hmm....watching the Olympics!! haha.

Another thing is that I haven't been challenged near as much this semester - last semester both my clinical teachers pushed me to think/learn/analyze - now they don't really do that (my 2 new clinical profs). I am trying to work on challenging myself to get more out of my learning experience.

I did a supplementary experience at the Mother's Milk Bank in Austin and I really liked it! I am going to continue to volunteer there every Friday or every other Friday - that is really the only time that I don't have clinicals or class. I'm glad I have a little extra time to give back to the community/mothers/babies.

I'm also keeping up with the spirit of life and doing fun things pretty much every week - Rhonda's birthday, wine night, my birthday celebrations, Reed's concert (my former professor's son), Shiner's Saloon, Amanda's birthday wine night, Albert's birthday at Logans = awesome times and memories!
